Beauty Buys…

So I may have had an accidental splurge and bought stuff I probably dont need….but then again, we dont need alot of things, I would forego a lot before I gave up make up!

My beauty buys of the week are as follows:

1.Benefits Rockateur

This is a nice rosey bronzey colour that adds a little sunkiss if using as a blusher. It really warmed my peely wally face and would suit tanned or fair skin! I’m a freckle face and absolutely love it as it has a little shimmer in it which I think gives my face a lift! I loved Benefit blushers, but as a make up hoarder you branch out but I seem to be coming back to the key Benefit products that work really well!

2. Benefits Girl Meets Pearl

A fab base that as a lovely pearly pink glow, this is an altered version of “That Gal” which I loved on my skin, it feels so cooling and smells lovely. This is perfect for holidays, I prefer not to wear foundation when I’m on holiday so I will definitely be using this bad girl when I’m in Tenerife next week!! Use with a little bit of Boi-ing or Erase Paste & voila you have a night look if you want to get glammed up but still not wear a heavier base in the heat!

3. Urban Decay Naked Flush in Native

What can I say about this….I’m in love!! I was a bit worried as I’m not a huge fan of powder highlighters, I can feel like they separate and just look to powder – y on my skin! The highlighter in this little beaut of a compact doesn’t! It also include a vibrant pink blusher which you can use very subtley if your new to the blush game, or add a bit more to give a striking look. Last of all, the Bronzer is amazing and makes me feel bronzed and glowing. The bronzer is not too heavy so again is great for people who maybe don’t use bronzer (I can be very bronzer shy) but using this compact is pretty easy, its quick and great that it comes in a fab compact so you can use it on the go!

4. Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheek Contour Kit

Now that’s a mouthful! I’ve been using this daily, I’m still unsure though as it’s the first Barry M product I have ever used, I like it but feel it can be a bit heavy on my face. It’s a great kit with instructions of how to use. It is very matte so great if that’s the look you are going for then its perfect, but I would like a little bit of shimmer to highlight. It comes with 3 colours; the highlighter, middle tone & bronzer. The highlighter I used on my cheek bones and round to the edge of my brow bone. I then use the middle tone in a backwards 3 from the top, sweeping under the highlighter and around my jaw line. I then apply the darker bronzer in the hollow of my cheek and build up as it is quite dark! I tend to use this for the day as its quick and easy and gives my round wee face a bit of structure!

5. Urban Decay Nude Ultra Definition Powder in Naked Light

I bought this on impulse (what can I say pretty packaging gets my attention). I have heard a lot about Urban Decays Nude range and I am a huge fan of their eye palettes & primers. This is my first ever UD foundation & I was not sure what to expect because I usually go with the tried and tested when it comes to a base as  have extremely dry skin…..but oh my god I was so happy with the results, it doesn’t accentuate any dry patches as some powders do, it makes your skin feel like velvet and the finished look is amazing when you have your blush/bronze/highlight routine completed (even goes on well on a bumpy bus ride when you have opted for that extra 10 minutes in bed)…It gives you a photo shop finish. This is definitely a new favourite , easy to use, great coverage without feeling heavy and stays on quite well (I finish with UD All Nighter Spray as I did on Saturday night to keep it on through any sweaty nights).
